Week 5 - Almost The Start of Februrary, 2011

Welcome to February … almost. Still, love is in the air and at least you can read this blog post, unlike poor old King Tut. Here’s what I was obsessed with this week.

The Muppets Take Manhattan Wedding Seating Chart – A link on My brother’s Facebook page brought me to this amazing section of the Muppets Wiki that indenfied every member of the Wedding Party at the end of Muppets Take Manhattan, proving once and for all that family is actually good for something.

The Adventurous Cincinnati Venturepax – I was sent this link to a local Cincinnati site that maps out the best places for outdoor activity in the area. Cycling, fly dishing, camping, hiking, runiing, what have you. And although my idea of nature is driving past a tree on a way to the bar, some people do seem to enjoy it. And so, you may enjoy this little site too.

New viral video Lazy Teenage Superheroes – On a shoestring budget of $300, filmmaker Michael Ashton put together a serious 13-minute piece of work. While the storyline is lacking, the movie is both entertaining and really, really well done. The special effects on this thing are crazy good! Give it a watch – I’ll eat my own head if this isn’t just the first of many things we’ll see from Ashton. What? It can be done.

Oscars, Bitches – Nominations were announced. I correctly picked all 10 of the best pictures to be nominated. Dear god, I’m going to smoke all you suckers this year at my Oscar Pool. Especially you Scott “Donkey Lips” Livesay. (ps. Oscar Watching party will happen at the upstairs room Neon’s and you’re welcome to join if you wish!)

Geroge Clooney’s Cincinnati Movie – Hot damn, this thing is going to also star Ryan Gosling, Marisa Tomei, Evan Rachel Wood, Paul Giamatti, Jeffrey Wright and Philip Seymour Hoffman! Gonna be badassssssss. Also, if you want to audition to be an extra, this Saturday’s the time to do it apparently.

Mark Zuckerberg and Jesse Eisenberg on SNL – Yes, together. And it’s pretty damn awkwardly fucking funny.

Obsess about that!
